Whisky barrel stave bottle opener

Here we have a whisky stave bottle opener.
The opener is 200mm in total length.
It is made from a dismantled whisky barrel that has reached the end of its life and ready to start its new one !!
The stave has been sanded and waxed and the metal bottle opener has been fixed into the top of the stave . Having used the ends of the stave you get to see exactly where the head/ lid of the barrel used to sit.
It’s a great practical utensil a great gift and an even better talking point !
